Project Background

 

BOE Vietnam Factory, located in Phu My City, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, is BOE's first overseas self-invested smart factory. As a global leader in semiconductor display technology, BOE imposes extremely stringent environmental control requirements on its production facilities - precision electronics manufacturing demands year-round constant temperature and humidity, as any fluctuation could affect product yield and equipment stability.

 

Project Challenges

 

Vietnam's tropical monsoon climate features year-round high temperatures and humidity, with summer outdoor dry-bulb temperatures frequently exceeding 35°C. The large factory floor area and significant equipment heat load place extremely high demands on the central air conditioning system in terms of cooling capacity, operational stability, and energy efficiency. Furthermore, as an overseas production base, equipment reliability and maintenance convenience are also critical considerations.

 

Solution

 

Hisense provided a comprehensive solution combining Centrifugal Chillers + Hi-FLEXi S mavo Series Modular Units for the BOE Vietnam Factory project, with a total cooling capacity of 9,600 Refrigeration Tons (RT) , fully meeting the factory's full-load operational requirements.

Key technical highlights of the solution include:
 

01.Triple Backup Operation for Uninterrupted Production
Addressing the stringent stability requirements of the manufacturing workshop, the solution features a triple backup operation mechanism - if a single module fails within the combined system, other units seamlessly take over to provide cooling capacity, ensuring uninterrupted production line cooling.

Compressor-Level Redundancy for Dual Protection

Each module is equipped with 2 compressors, providing mutual backup at the compressor level to further enhance system fault tolerance and ensure stable, continuous operation even under extreme conditions.

Significant Energy Efficiency Improvement for Green Manufacturing

The Hi-FLEXi S mavo Series delivers substantial improvements in both capacity and energy efficiency compared to previous products, with an overall Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) increase of up to 10% , significantly reducing long-term operational energy costs.

High Connection Ratio Design for Lower Project Cost

The units support a maximum connection ratio of 200% , substantially reducing the number of required units and piping work, effectively lowering initial project investment.

Full DC Inverter Technology for Precise Temperature Control

Equipped with full DC inverter technology, the system automatically adjusts output based on actual workshop load, delivering precise temperature control and on-demand cooling to avoid energy waste.
 

Project Value

 

The successful implementation of this project not only provides a solid foundation for BOE Vietnam Factory's stable production but also demonstrates Hisense's strong capabilities in central air conditioning system integration for ultra-large overseas manufacturing facilities. Upon commissioning, the system will effectively cope with Southeast Asia's frequent high-temperature conditions, safeguarding precision electronics manufacturing production.
