Chilled Water AC, commonly referred to as a CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler), is a precision cooling unit specifically designed for data centers, server rooms, and mission-critical environments. Unlike traditional air conditioners that generate their own cooling, a CRAH unit relies on an external source - a central chiller plant - to supply chilled water for cooling.
The CRAH unit consists primarily of a fan and a cooling coil through which chilled water flows. Warm air from the IT equipment is drawn across this coil, where the heat is transferred to the chilled water and carried away. This design is inherently more energy-efficient and scalable than self-contained systems, making it the preferred choice for medium to large data centers where a central chilled water plant is already in place. The system delivers temperature control accuracy of ±1℃ and humidity control accuracy of ±5%.

Equipped with a state-of-the-art microprocessor controller. Supports integration with Building Management Systems (BMS) via standard protocols such as Modbus. A modulating control valve precisely regulates the flow of chilled water to match the exact cooling demand of the room. Options like Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) ensure service continuity and system redundancy.
Optimized Heat Exchanger Design
The cooling coil is constructed with copper tubing and aluminum fins, featuring a wide exchange surface and low air crossing speed to maximize heat transfer. The system is optimized for high chilled water temperatures, which prevents condensate formation that could damage equipment and allows for effective integration with free cooling chillers.
Flexible Deployment
Supports multiple airflow configurations, including upflow and downflow, to accommodate various room layouts such as raised-floor underfloor supply and hard floor installations. The compact design simplifies installation and integration into existing data center infrastructure.
