The third type, air-cooled coolers, also comes in various forms, including indirect, fixed, and suspended types. It boasts many advantages, such as its simple structure, small size and weight, and ease of use.
Air-cooled oil coolers (or simply air coolers) are aluminum alloy plate-fin heat exchangers that use air as the cooling source. Their key feature is that both the oil and air channels of the heat exchanger core are equipped with heat exchange fins, resulting in a larger heat exchange area per unit volume and higher heat transfer efficiency. They use air as the medium for heat exchange. Compared to water-cooled radiators, they are not only easier to install and maintain, but also avoid the serious damage to the system caused by oil-water mixing due to copper pipe bursts. Furthermore, for equipment that needs to change working locations (such as construction machinery), there is no need to consider water supply, and there is no need to disassemble and rebuild the water circulation system, making it an increasingly widely used environmentally friendly product.
